PHASE 2 OF OUR ENERGY SAVING PROGRAMME HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED

Over the last week we have seen the second phase of our Energy Saving Programme implemented!

This has been the introduction of a solar array consisting of 30 x 380w PV panels that have a maximum generating capacity of 11.4kWh c/w. Additionally we have also installed 10kW hybrid inverter and 10kWh battery storage.

The system’s estimated annual system generation of ~11252kwh is estimated to provide around 70 - 80% of the pool’s current electrical requirements as well as giving us a small income during our ‘closed’ months, helping towards the longevity of the pool’s future.

With costs exceeding £21K for this piece of work alone, the Trustees extend their heartfelt thanks to all our kind Supporters, Charities and Organisations who have donated towards this project.

Commenting on the works, Chairman Martin Brealey said. "Without the generosity of the supporters, volunteers and trustees of the Pool, this project safeguarding our future operations would not have been possible. I sincerely thank everybody involved”.

The new season will start on Saturday 29th April 2023!
