The Bovey Tracey Swimming Pool Association is a registered charity in England and Wales (300773).
Bovey Tracey Swimming Pool is a charity run by trustees and supported by a team of volunteers.
Formed in 1962, the Association was tasked with the construction and management of a local outdoor pool for the nearby primary school and community. Since then, it has been responsible for the running of the swimming pool in Bovey Tracey, providing a community hub for people to meet at and enjoy swimming.
We have over 80 volunteers who regularly assist at our pool, from helping run our kiosk as the friendly faces of Bovey Pool to maintenance and running some of our successful clubs and events. The only paid members of the team are the lifeguards which are employed by the pool.
Amongst the volunteers are our Trustees, who are volunteers who help with the management side of the pool. These Trustees are elected by members at the annual general meeting (AGM).

We gain income for the pool mainly through swimming revenue. However we do also earn money from other routes such as sales in the kiosk, fundraising activities, grant applications, and donations.
