Under 8s admission policy

  • Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied in the water and directly supervised at all times by a competent swimmer aged 16 or above.
  • If a competent swimmer aged 16 or above is supervising one child under the age of 8 there is no requirement for the child to wear a buoyancy aid.
  • A competent swimmer aged 16 or above may supervise two children under the age of 8. However, in this instance, all children under the age of 5, and any child aged between 5 and 7 who is unable to swim one width of the Pool, MUST wear a buoyancy aid.
  • Under 8s will be classed as non-swimmers until they have passed the Lifeguard’s under 8 width swim test confidently and competently.
  • Nappy policy – for health & safety reasons, all babies and children who are not potty trained must wear a swimming nappy when using the Pool.
